He loves everything about high schools: teaching & learning, performing arts, athletic contests, prom, clubs, pep rallies, etc…..and his students and staff know that he loves high school. More than that, his students and staff know that he loves them. He led the high school to 3 consecutive years of meeting or exceeding growth and to the first letter grade of B in the history of Newton- Conover High School. In 21-22, N-CHS had no subgroups that did not at least meet growth. Mr. Penley has been recognized as Principal of the Year for our school system. Mr. Penley and N-CHS are synonymous with each other.
South Newton Elementary students had special visitors greeting them this morning. Members of the N-CHS football team assisted with morning duty. We would also like to thank Dr. Gabriel for providing breakfast for the players. #groundedandgrowing
