Newton-Conover City Schools has a proud tradition of providing quality educational services tailored to the specific learning and emotional needs of our diverse student population. 

See the below daily bell schedules for the Newton-Conover City Schools for the 2022-2023 school year:

Elementary Schools (North Newton ES, Shuford ES, South Newton ES): 8:10 am - 3:20 pm

Middle School (Newton-Conover MS): 7:40 am - 2:50 pm

High Schools (Newton-Conover HS & Discovery HS): 7:40 am - 2:50 pm

Conover School: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm 

Kid Connection (North Newton ES, Shuford ES, South Newton ES students are bused to North Newton for after school care, Conover School): Open for Before School Care at 6:00 am. After School Care operates until 6:00 pm. 

Early Release Day Dismissal Times

Currently there will be 2 Early Release Days during the 2022-2023 school year (December 22, 2022 & May 26, 2023).

The Early Release times will be as follows: 

Elementary Schools (North Newton ES, Shuford ES, South Newton ES): 11:30 am

Middle School (Newton-Conover MS): 11:00 am

High Schools (Newton-Conover HS & Discovery HS): 11:00 am

Conover School: 11:30 am

Kid Connection (North Newton ES, Shuford ES, South Newton ES students are bused to North Newton for after school care, Conover School): Open for After School Care at 11:30 am.
