Busy weekday mornings make it a challenge for many families to find time for a healthy breakfast. Fortunately, N-CCS offers nutritious school breakfasts, complete with fruit and low-fat or fat-free milk, to ensure students are fueled for learning every school day. In addition, ALL students can eat breakfast at no charge, regardless of their meal status. #groundedandgrowing

On Monday, March 20, 2023 at 6:00 pm in the Newton-Conover High School Gymnasium, architects from Little Diversified Architecture will be presenting proposed plans for new construction and renovations that will be taking place at Newton-Conover High School in the near future. Community members, parents, and students alike are welcome to attend and learn more about the project and catch a glimpse of the future of the N-CHS campus.


Newton-Conover City Schools will celebrate National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) during March 6-10, 2023. The NSBW campaign theme, “DIG IN to School Breakfast,” reminds the entire school community that healthy breakfast options available at school provide an energizing start to the day for students. #groundedandgrowing


Today, in Newton–Conover City Schools, we celebrated National Maintenance Workers Appreciation Day. Our maintenance department strives to provide a clean, comfortable and safe learning environment for all in our district. They are so deserving of this special day devoted just to maintenance staff. We want to thank Brittany Supply Inc., Capital Air Filters, Catawba Valley Supply, Conover Hardware, Geppeto’s Pizza, Hickory Mechanical Inc., Killian’s Hardware, and Tarheel Paper, for their generous contributions to our maintenance staff. Together, We Clear the Path for Learning.





Last night, South Newton Elementary hosted Family Night for the book fair and grade-level book parade. Each grade level highlighted a book or book series and made a table display and dressed up. This event is in conjunction with Read Across America Week! #groundedandgrowing
