During the month of April the students at North Newton Elementary School filled water bottles with money. All money went to Schools for Africa through the partnership with Delta Kappa Gamma teaching society. Schools for Africa aims to provide quality education to millions of children in Africa with a special focus on the most marginalized. In one month, North Newton students brought in $1,720.46! We are so proud of the generosity and compassion North Newton students and families have shown! #groundedandgrowing

On May 1st, SECU sponsored the Reality of Money Event for the 7th graders at NCMS. Students were transformed into an adult for a day, where they were given a career, family, and all the responsibilities of paying bills. Life lessons learned include: budgeting, paying bills, purchasing big ticket items such as a home or car, and managing unexpected financial events such as a flat tire, emergency pet injury, and even a speeding ticket. Thank you to SECU and to all of the volunteers that made this event possible for the students! #groundedandgrowing








Today, a group of 15 N-CMS students represented N-CMS well in both individual and team competitions at the CVCC Math Competition. The N-CMS team placed 2nd overall only 0.25 points behind the 1st place winner out of 7 local middle schools. Mack O., also, placed 3rd overall in the Grade 7 Individual Competition. #groundedandgrowing
