
REMINDER... N-CHS will hold new student registration on Tuesday, Aug. 8th, and Wednesday, Aug. 9th from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Student Services. Families will be taken on a first come first come basis.
To enroll your son or daughter we will need:
1. A RECENT proof of address which must be: power bill, water bill, gas bill, or lease agreement. Bank statements, credit card bills, or cell phone bills will not be accepted.
2. A current report card if coming to 9th grade or for any upperclassmen, a recent transcript.
3. Current form of ID ( Driver's license of parent)
4. Immunization records
5. Birth certificate
6. Any custody documents (if applicable).
Please note, students MUST be enrolled by a legal parent or guardian.

This weekend was an exciting weekend for N-CHS athletics with the Athletic Booster Kickoff Event and Midnight Madness for our Red Devil football team. Tonight is the night! The N-CHS Athletic Boosters is having a Kickoff event for the 2023-2024 athletic season from 6PM - 9PM at N-CHS Gurley Stadium. The community is welcome to help us to kick off the athletic season. The whole family is welcome to participate with inflatables, dunking booth, concessions, etc. The N-CHS band will be performing as well as introducing fall sports teams and coaches. Come out and support N-CHS Athletics.


All kindergartners, 7th-graders, and seniors are required to have specific immunizations. Check the image for information on Catawba County Public Health Back-to-School Immunization Clinics.

N-CCS would like to send our condolences to the family of Bobby Rowe on his recent passing. Mr. Rowe was a 2014-2015 Red Blazer recipient.

Congratulations to former head Red Devil wrestling coach Eddy Clark. He was recognized by the National Wrestling Coaches Association as the state coach of the year. Assistant coaches, Vallie Murray, Justin Shuffler (new Red Devil head coach), and Paul Lane were recognized as the assistant coaching staff of the year for the state as well!!


Reminder....N-CCS has FREE summer meals that are open to the public through August 17th.


This a reminder of N-CCS summer work hours. School personnel and central office staff will be available to answer questions Monday-Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
The district will follow this schedule from June 12, 2023, through August 11, 2023.


Congratulations to our N-CCS Finance Department Team for receiving the GFOA Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Award for 26th Year. Excellent Work!


N-CCS district leadership and school administration finished off the Newton-Conover City Schools Leadership Retreat with bowling and fellowship. Congratulations to our reigning bowling champion Mr. Billy Cannon, principal at N-CMS!






Today, N-CCS was able to give back to a group that supports our schools and our community. We are thankful for our partnership with In My Father's House.






District leadership and school administration kicked off the 2023-2024 school year yesterday at the Newton-Conover City Schools Summer Leadership Retreat.





Grayson Creekmore, N-CHS '22, is marching his third summer with Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps. Grayson is a percussionist and is in the front ensemble. Drum corps are 12-week touring outdoor performing ensembles, much like a marching band, featuring brass, battery, front ensemble, & color guard. Carolina Crown is a member corps of Drum Corps International's World Class.
