Good afternoon Discovery family. I hope that all of you have had a wonderful weekend. I'm excited about the start that we've had to this school year and am excited to see everything we're able to help our students accomplish this year.
We were able to celebrate our school letter grade of an A on Friday at Community. This is a fantastic accomplishment and a testament to the work of our amazing students and staff even through the pandemic. I hope that this solidifies for our students that they are able to accomplish anything under any conditions if they put their mind to it.
Below are the announcements for this week.
Seniors, if you haven't completed your immunizations, please do so immediately. If you have any questions about this, please contact Nurse Emily at the school.
There are multiple clubs getting under way at the school (Diversity Club, Pub Club, Outdoors Club, etc.). I encourage students to get involved in one or more of these. Finding a way to connect is a key to making the most out of your high school experience.
Friday September 23rd is a required workday which means no school for students.
Friday September 30th will be our Fall BBQ. Please be on the look out for more information about this traditional DHS event.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful week. As always, please reach out if there is anything we can do to support you. Take care.
